Gazing at the Sky

Ignoring oneself, there are decisions in life to make,

Considering circumstances, interests and priorities which after times prove as fake.

Sipping my cup of coffee today on a weekend, when I was gazing at the sky,

My mind went blank for a moment, the more I was seeking my "Why"

Suddenly, I witnessed something strange,

Didn't know, a new lesson was to get a memorable change,

With tremendous efforts, I saw an Ant carry a piece of paper to her destination.

It was a 3 minute journey in which she surpassed impossible hurdles with sheer determination

But suddenly, there was a twist in the story,

She failed to sustain her glory.

The paper was too big to enter the final hole,

For which she was running from pole to pole.

Little did she realize, the luggage was twice her size,

Eventually managed to quit instead making her greed maximize.

With my last sip, I started wondering again,

Did she lose or did she gain ?

The target was not met, inspite all her effort,

But the at the end, she realized her greed's purport.

Connecting the dots, several instances flashed,

Everything will eventually be trashed.

Why is mind carrying unnecessary baggage,

Why not live at the moment and Isn't it okay to be average?

Just another episode with my coffee ended,

Making me fall in love with "myself" again when I once felt stranded.
