Find Yourself!
When it all started from being carried on my father's shoulder,
Unknown of the fact that even I can walk myself
The school corridor had that typical smell
Which made me realize I am in school before I could yell.
Almost 2 decades before bidding a farewell,
Now comes college, a drastic change adapted well,
Career was in the head, making everything else dispel
5 years and time flies, making some stories worthty to tell
Early 20's, Imagine 1/3rd of life expels
To accumulate "something",
"Something" which people term "knowledge" "skills"
"Something" that gets you "wealth", "financial stability"
"Something" which comforts your mind
That "Something" which gets you so called "happiness", "satisfaction", "peace"
To put in nutshell,
First 20 years, the single biggest investment of life I persistently propel,
Investment of "Time",
Ravishing journey from a child to a man it made me travel,
"Time" invested will never come back, it is a one way channel,
But it stole ME from MYSELF,
In fetching "returns" for this investment,
Hoping for some light at end of the tunnel.
I am 80 today, playing with my grandchildren,
Forgot to mention, other 2/3 life spent in same way,
Investment of time, compensating myself in return,
But you see, I dont have much time left now,
Too soon, I will be required to change my apparel,
I advise, if you have some time left, dont invest for returns,
Invest in finding yourself instead,
Let your hidden identity unravel.
