Unending Wants

My tantrums are usual,
I want something all the time
From friends to food, movie to malls
From 'Message only', to 'video calls'
But I wonder,
How can my desires be labeled as a 'Crime'?
What's wrong in cribbing all the time ?

See, life is too short, why not crave ?
Else my 'wants' will follow me till grave
I want to live my life king size
I might as well equally behave
With every passing second,
I want to spend my every dime
Because,I want something all the time

Now, this 'Something' can be anything
Money, word of praise, a relationship, some respect,
Being recognized when you least expect
Or bithching someone, bullying someone
Just getting rid of some life's shitty aspect
This definition of 'something' changing with time
Confused, what to forgo and what is prime

Then one day, I meet this lady,
Vibrant face, deep eyes,
Wrinkles all over,
But her radiance competing with skies
At the airport, unknowingly she directs me to a billboard, which says -
"Reduce your baggage and enjoy your journey"

Since then, not sure where my destiny lies,
But with life's every step foward
My 'want' steps back
As I now witness, my time perpetually flies!
